Feeling all kitties and rainbows~

I had a good day. Met an old friend for lunch that I have not seen in about 17t oh did years. She is from my teenage years and I lived with her during a rough spot with my mom. We were trouble, but OH what fun we had! It was great to see her. We also just happened to run in to another old friend we went to school with. Lots of fun! we talked and talked about back then and caught up on where we have been in life.I hope to go out with her again next weekend and start hanging out again regularly.
Yesterday my kitty Now gave birth to five adorable and health(despite inbreeding)black kittens. Yes we have Jerry Springer animal soap opera going on here. Her brother knocked her up despite efforts to stop it and her lover Tucker the dog is jealous. Tucker has totally accepted the babies though. She is such a great mama. She got through the birth with barely a meow. They are so adorable and I can't wait to find them all homes.(Want a kitten?)
We had a freak storm while I was out for lunch and drinks and it hailed like crazy for a few minutes and there was a tornado warning for the county. I waited until the worst of it passed before heading home. Mom came for dinner and I made tacos. While eating we spotted a beautiful rainbow out the back of the house. I have caught a few good ones there. Now we are watching movies. Close encounters first and then I finally get to see Twilight!
Awesome day~

OK so maybe I am a little moody...

I saw this on someone's twitter and thought it fit me perfectly today. Between turning 35 on Monday and pms I am feeling a bit out of sorts this week. I had a great birthday. C took off work and we slept more after the kids went to school. I was lazy all day. I watched a good chick flick, P.S. I love you, and cried lots. My hunny cooked me dinner and I made a carrot cake with homemade cream cheese icing. I even got birthday sex. That all didn't matter when I woke up on Tuesday. I felt like someone had sucked the life out of me. I felt like that all week. Today I finally felt like I had a bit of motivation. I did tons of laundry and some organizing. I started working on our bedroom, but got discouraged by the amount of clutter. I think I will be more motivated by next week. I hope.
I need to get the kitchen painted this week. We are having a party next weekend to celebrate the new kitchen. In a moment of creative genius I decided to make it a Pirates Vs. Ninja themed party. C got these awesome pirate ice cube trays and I had been planning on trying my hand at making sushi rolls, so it just fell together in my mind. I am hoping people will dress as their fav. I think I will be a pirate ninja!(AKA Pinja) C also got these shot glass molds that you can freeze juice or water in OR Melt gummis and make gummi shot glasses!! How awesome will that be! I hope some people that I have not seen in a while will show up. If you can make it... come join US!

The Good Times Are Killiin' Me

Well the good times did not kill me, but they sure did hurt a bit. We had an excellent time though. I just happen to not be able to walk without turning my ankles.
We arrived at our hotel Saturday afternoon and proceeded to consume shots and beer. We were right beside the Reading Terminal Market so we went there first looking for something to eat, but most of the places were closing so we left. We walked around the city for a while looking for someplace to eat and while walking at a fast pace on uneven sidewalks holding hands with C I turned both ankles and fell down. It hurt so bad, but I was just glad I didn't rip a hole in my pants. We walked a little further and found a pizza place. The Bff went and got me a bandage and I wrapped my really bad ankle up. We ate our pizza then headed off to the show. I realized when we got close to South Street that we had been walking the wrong way, but I had been half drunk and in pain and was discombobulated. We had gone ten blocks in the wrong direction! We grabbed two cabs and got to the show in time to get decent seats on the upper level where the bar is. We all got drinks and settled in for the long wait before Modest Mouse came on. The opening bands were ok. I liked Mimicking Birds better than Japanese Motors. The Electric Factory is an awesome venue. Modest Mouse finally started around 11:30 and it was an amazing show. They played so many great songs. After the show we walked back to the hotel and decided to go eat at a diner. I walked entirely too much on two sprained ankles and by the time we got to bed they were horribly swollen. I iced them for a bit and went to sleep.
Sunday we got up and went to Market for coffee and some shopping. After that we walked around Chinatown. We then took a cab to South Street and ate at Jim's. They are my favorite cheese steaks in the city. South Street is so much fun. We shopped and walked down to the waterfront. We had a beer at one the bars and then started walking back towards a cemetery we had passed. I love looking at all the old buildings and cobblestone streets in the city. We got some photos at the cemetery and then strolled around by Independence Hall then back to the parking garage. I was done by the time we got there. Wayyyy too much walking on hurt ankles for me. I was happy to get in my van and leave for home. I had so much fun despite the injuries I sustained and I can't wait to do it again. I think I should maybe invest in some hightops or boots first.

Zion's stylin now~

Life has been busy. It's that time of year. I feel change coming and have to keep busy and do things like cut my hair off and dye it bright colors. I am antsy. I am loving the new style and I think I look great as a red head. Spring cleaning has kicked in and my house is in complete chaos. I have half my rooms half cleaned. I can never seem to stay in one place long enough to get it done. Oh well. I will get to it. I am still trying to get things back in order from the kitchen remodel and have so many other projects I want to delve into. Then there is the yard.....
Zion got his bike today!! It was so cool watching him on it. I am so glad it came so he has some time to enjoy it before his surgery. The weather has been good for it. My mom and I finally got to start walking on the rail trail again this week. Hopefully we will be able to go again tomorrow.
Quinn has his science fair tomorrow night. We did an awesome project on magnetic levitation.
Saturday we go to Philly to see MODEST MOUSE!! woot! I am so excited. I will be sure to take lots of pics.
