My kitchen is coming along. Today the floor goes in and tomorrow the counters. Oh how I miss cooking! Hopefully it will be complete by next week. I am so sick of the dust. There will be no eating out for us for a long time when I can finally cook again. I have only been out of a kitchen for two weeks, but it sure does feel like months. It is making me cranky.
This weekend we will be having a party for my BFF and SWG. They both have February b-days so we figured we would combine it. I am sure we will be having another party when the kitchen is done. I really want to try my hand at making sushi rolls.
I still have not straightened out the mess with Zion's medicare and today we had to pay for his new ROHO cushion out of the money raised for the bike. Luckily there was extra and we could do that. It is so hard for me to fathom that a rubber seat cushion can cost over $400. We got a discount and only had to pay $350. Unbelievable. I will be ordering his bike soon. In other AWESOME news....
Zion was referred for the Make A Wish foundation! He has to be approved by his doctor at Shriner's first, but I don't think they will deny it. We are so excited about it! We have been talking every day about what he would wish. No clue yet.
My contractor just walked in with a bottle of whiskey for us! I really couldn't ask for better guys doing the work. I think we will have to have a drink after they are done today!

What a wonderful transformation!!!!
you've been doing a lot of work! it looks marvelous.
Good luck to Zion that he gets his wish, whatever that will be!
You're gonna be so proud when it's finished. Yayness. I hate the mess of construction but the end result is always so worth it.
WOW! It's going to look AWESOME! I can't wait to see it in person! Thats cool about the make a wish thing. One of my best friends in grade school, she had a brain tumor that left her over 80% blind, got her wish granted. She was reunited with some grandparents that she hadn't met and they got to spend a week in Disney World. She talked about it for MONTHS, and I had to watch the video and look at the pictures every time I went over to her house to play. She was, 8 at the time, so Disney World was a HUGE deal.
I love the new door and the colour! And congrats to Zion - it'll be an awesome adventure!
Nice looking kitchen! I hope Zion gets to make a wish. Yay Team Lubie!
Oooohhh, the house is coming along nicely.
